QLM has a client looking to hire Low Voltage Cable Pullers in (fill in city) You will operate appropriate equipment to pull cables through Apartment home structures. Your job is important as it provides the foundation for strong infrastructure.
BASIC SKILLS:
· Able to lift 50 lbs. & able to carry it upstairs,
· able to climb a ladder
· ability to work from a squatting or kneeling position intermittently.
· ability to work with hands & use hand tools
· Company will transport candidate to job site and transport them to public transportation at the end of the shift if they do not have a car. This may be modified depending on the proximity of job to public transportation. Our crews normally go from home to job site most days. We will work with each candidate on a case-by-case basis.
PPE :
· Jeans or rugged durable long pants. No tears or rips
· work boots in good repair with solid soles (no excessive wear, no sneakers), they do NOT need to be steel toe
· company t-shirt will be provided – please let us know the candidate’s size before their first day
· (Safety glasses, hard hat, reflective vest, gloves supplied by our firm)
TOOLS:
· Refillable Water Bottle -required (please advise us before the first day if the candidate does not have one).
· Hammer (if candidate has one)
· Cutters (if candidate has one)
· Flathead screwdriver (if candidate has one)
· Toolbelt with pouch for staples hand tools – required
The candidates will be assigned to an existing two-man crew for the purpose of pulling low voltage wire through new construction multi-floor apartment buildings. The wire will be adhered to the existing infrastructure using specific staples that require a hammer to set in place. When the infrastructure is breached to pass the wire from one section to another, the candidate will be instructed how to fill the hole with fire caulk to return the breached area to its fire safety rating. Care and attention to detail must be taken for the area to pass fire inspection.
