Plans and implements QLM’s safety program to ensure a safe, healthy, and accident-free work environment on every project for all individuals.
Emphasizes and ensures that each individual is aware and acts upon our philosophy of Safety, Productivity, and Quality.
Clearly articulate the Company’s safety vision, objectives, strategies, policies, and procedures.
Understand, administer and enforce OSHA and other federal, state, and local standards and company safety policies to establish a safe work environment on all projects.
Serve as the Point of Contact for all scheduled and unscheduled governmental (OSHA) inspections. Accompany inspectors and document their activity, participate in opening and closing conferences, ensure prompt correction of all noted discrepancies, and follow through with formal and informal conferences/meetings.
Provides proactive leadership by anticipating problems & providing solutions, conducting Job Site Analysis (JSA) and sharing knowledge with, and providing training to all team members.
Spend 50% + of time observing the work being performed in the field (NC, SC, GA, TN, OK).
Observe and practice all government safety regulations, project requirements, and company safety policies.
Analyzes and recommends corrective action for all accidents.
Leads incident investigations. Report all incidents immediately, including near-misses incidents based on company policy and procedures.
Execute drug testing and disciplinary action by Quality Labor Management’s Drug-Free Workplace Policy
Prepare, submit, maintain, file, and record all essential safety paperwork.
Staffing and Construction experience (Required)
Minimum 5 years of experience in construction industry safety management
Minimum 5 years of experience leading and managing a structured safety program
In-depth technical knowledge of construction-related OSHA, federal, state, and local regulatory standards and recognize hazardous situations and implement effective corrective practices.
OSHA 500 Certification
Degree in Environmental, Health & Safety, Safety Management, construction or related field.
