Job Summary

We are working with a commercial general contractor specializing in interior build-outs throughout South Florida. We are looking for a motivated and organized Project Assistant to support our estimating team and assist with the preparation of bids and project documentation. This is a great opportunity for someone looking to start a career in commercial construction.

Pay Range

$20 per hour

Responsibilities

• Assist the estimating team with preparing bid packages.
• Download, organize, and distribute construction plans and specifications.
• Perform quantity takeoffs
• Contact subcontractors and suppliers to request pricing and follow up on outstanding quotes.
• Build and maintain subcontractor and vendor databases.
• Track bid deadlines and ensure proposals are submitted on time.
• Organize project files and maintain estimating records.
• Assist with general administrative tasks for the estimating department.
• Support project managers and office staff as needed.

Qualifications

• Strong organizational and time management skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Comfortable making phone calls and following up with subcontractors.
• Proficient in Microsoft Outlook, Excel, and Word.
• Detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple tasks.
• Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred.
