We pride ourselves on our commitment to quality, safety, and career and personal development. QLM Jacksonville is looking for a labor foreman for a large commercial project in Gainesville, FL. You’ll report directly to the Superintendent and play a key role in keeping the site safe, productive, and on schedule.The job is Monday-Friday starting at 6:45am, with overtime as needed. Pay Range
$26-$32 per hour
· Previous experience supervising or leading construction crews preferred
· Ability to operate a lull, scissor lift, and skid steer (or willingness to learn)
· Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills
· Ability to read and follow plans and specifications
· OSHA 10 preferred; OSHA 30, CPR/First Aid, and equipment certifications are a plus
· Outdoor and indoor construction site, exposure to weather, noise, and dust
· Ability to lift, climb, and stand or walk for extended periods
· Must have personal protective equipment (PPE)
· Must have reliable transportation
· Supervise and coordinate labor crews, scaling as the workforce grows from 20–30 to 100+
· Assign daily tasks and manpower based on project phase and priorities
· Operate equipment as needed, including a lull, scissor lift, and skid steer
· Conduct daily toolbox talks and safety briefings
· Enforce OSHA regulations, site safety plans, and proper PPE use
· Coordinate with other trade foremen to sequence work and avoid conflicts
· Inspect work for quality and conformance to plans and specifications
· Track materials, tools, and equipment, and coordinate deliveries and staging
· Keep daily logs of labor hours, work completed, and site incidents
· Communicate progress, delays, and issues to the Superintendent
· Train, mentor, and evaluate laborers, and resolve crew conflicts
· Keep the site clean, organized, and compliant with environmental requirements
