Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Sheetrock Mechanic to join our team for ongoing commercial construction projects. The ideal candidate will be skilled in hanging drywall, taping, floating, finishing, and matching various wall/ceiling textures. You will be responsible for ensuring top-quality installation and smooth surface finishing ready for paint. Schedule working 4 days 10 hours. Local position. No per diem.

Pay Range
$20-$24 per hour
Key Responsibilities:
- Measure, cut, fit, and install sheetrock/drywall panels on metal and wood framing for walls and ceilings.
- Apply drywall tape, joint compound (mud), and corner beads using hand and power tools.
- Embed tape and float seams to level surfaces, sanding between coats to achieve a smooth, paint-ready finish (Level 4/Level 5 finishing as required).
- Patch, repair, and texture damaged sheetrock or existing surfaces to match seamlessly.
- Install moisture-resistant drywall (greenboard/cement board) in specified wet areas.
- Inspect framing and electrical/plumbing cutouts prior to drywall installation to ensure proper fit and alignment.
- Maintain a safe and clean work environment, adhering to OSHA standards and site safety protocols.
