Pay Range

$23-28 per hour

Responsibilities of an Apprentice Electrician:  

  • Assist journeyman electricians with the installation, maintenance, and repair of electrical systems. 
  • Install, maintain, and repair electrical systems to include switch gears, motor controls, electrical, lighting and power supplies. 
  • Learn to interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical diagrams. 
  • Perform basic electrical tasks such as wiring, conduit bending, and fixture installation. 
  • Follow all safety protocols and guidelines to ensure a safe work environment. 
  • Use and maintain hand and power tools safely and effectively. 
  • Troubleshoot electrical issues and perform preventive maintenance. 
  • Keep work areas clean and organized. 
  • Basic knowledge of electrical systems and construction practices
  • Ability to read and understand basic electrical plans and drawings
  • Experience installing and bending conduit
  • Ability to pull and route wire and cable
  • Experience installing electrical boxes, panels, disconnects, and fixtures
  • Basic knowledge of lighting and receptacle installation
  • Familiarity with electrical hand and power tools
  • Ability to assist with terminations and electrical connections
  • Understanding of basic electrical safety and NEC requirements
  • Ability to work from instructions and direction from a Journeyman or Foreman
  • Reliable transportation and dependable attendance
  • Willingness to learn and develop electrical skills
  • Ability to work safely around other construction trades
  • Commercial/new construction experience preferred, but not required
