The General Laborer supports commercial construction projects by performing a variety of hands-on tasks at job sites. Pay Range

$14-$16 per hour

As a General Laborer in Commercial Construction, you will contribute to the completion of projects including office buildings, schools, warehouses, and retail spaces. Your responsibilities will involve supporting daily construction activities, maintaining site cleanliness, and assisting with the setup and breakdown of materials and equipment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and clean construction sites by removing debris and hazards.
  • Load, unload, and distribute materials and tools.
  • Erect and dismantle temporary structures like scaffolding and barriers.
  • Assist skilled tradespeople with various manual tasks.
  • Operate hand and power tools safely and correctly.
  • Follow instructions from supervisors and maintain safety compliance.
  • Transport materials around the site manually or using equipment (if certified).

  • Basic knowledge of construction tools and safety procedures.
  • Ability to lift up to 75 lbs and perform physically demanding tasks.
  • Strong work ethic with a team-first attitude.
  • Reliable, punctual, and willing to take direction.
  • Previous construction experience preferred but not required.
  • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation (preferred).
  • OSHA 10 certification or willingness to obtain is a plus.
