Job Summary

We are seeking experienced and dependable Journeyman Electricians for a commercial healthcare construction project in Tallahassee, Florida. Qualified candidates must have strong knowledge of commercial electrical systems, conduit installation, wiring, electrical equipment, and applicable electrical codes. The ideal candidate will have experience working on large commercial construction projects, preferably in hospitals or other healthcare facilities.

Pay Range

$30.00 per hour

Key Responsibilities

• Install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair commercial electrical systems and equipment.
• Install and bend EMT, rigid, and other types of electrical conduit according to project specifications.
• Pull, route, terminate, and test electrical wiring and conductors.
• Install electrical panels, breakers, transformers, disconnects, lighting fixtures, receptacles, and associated electrical equipment.
• Read and interpret electrical blueprints, schematics, and construction drawings.
• Perform electrical rough-ins, installations, and final trim-outs.
• Assist with electrical distribution systems and equipment connections.
• Troubleshoot electrical issues using appropriate testing equipment.
• Follow the National Electrical Code (NEC), applicable local codes, and project specifications.
• Coordinate with supervisors, apprentices, and other construction trades.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area.
• Follow OSHA regulations, lockout/tagout procedures, and all jobsite safety requirements.
• Perform additional electrical installation and maintenance duties as assigned.

Qualifications & Requirements

• Previous experience working as a Journeyman-level Commercial Electrician required.
• Strong experience in commercial electrical installations and construction.
• Proficiency in conduit bending, wire pulling, electrical terminations, and panel installations.
• Ability to read and understand electrical blueprints and schematics.
• Knowledge of NEC requirements and electrical safety procedures.
• Ability to operate electrical hand tools, power tools, and testing equipment.
• Ability to work independently and as part of an electrical construction crew.
• Ability to lift approximately 50 lbs., climb ladders, and work in elevated areas when necessary.
• Reliable transportation to the project location in Tallahassee, FL.
• Strong work ethic, punctuality, and commitment to workplace safety.
• Any journeyman license or certification required by the employer or applicable jurisdiction.

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous experience on hospital or healthcare construction projects.
• Experience with commercial electrical distribution systems.
• Experience installing electrical systems in large commercial buildings.
• OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 certification.
• Experience working around occupied healthcare facilities.
• Familiarity with emergency power systems and healthcare electrical installations.
