Job Summary
QLM is seeking a highly skilled, licensed Master Electrician to join our team as a technical expert and field supervisor. In this role, you will oversee commercial, industrial, and complex residential electrical installations, ensure strict adherence to local codes and the National Electrical Code (NEC), troubleshoot critical electrical systems, pull permits, and mentor journeymen and apprentices.

- Technical & Code Mastery: Advanced understanding of current National Electrical Code (NEC) regulations, load calculations, grounding/bonding systems, and local building codes.
- Complex Electrical Systems: Proven expertise in 3-phase high/low voltage power distribution, switchgear maintenance, transformer connections, motor control centers (MCC), and variable frequency drives (VFDs).
- Conduit Bending & Installation: Precision conduit bending and run layout (EMT, Rigid, PVC, IMC) from small branch circuits to 3″–4″ commercial feeder runs.
- Systems Integration: Experience with low-voltage systems, fire alarm systems, building automation, lighting controls (0–10V/DALI), and PLCs or programmable logic relays.
- Leadership & Field Management: Strong track record of supervising crews, delegating tasks, conducting tool-box talks, and resolving trade conflicts on active job sites.
- Blueprint & Schematics Fluency: Ability to quickly translate electrical engineering prints, single-line diagrams, riser diagrams, and architectural plans into field construction steps.
- Diagnostic & Analytical Capabilities: Expert proficiency with digital multimeters, megohmmeters (meggers), thermal cameras, and oscilloscopes for fast root-cause fault diagnosis.
