Job Summary
QLM is currently hiring Millwright candidates. The Millwright position at Samsung in Taylor, Texas is responsible for the installation, maintenance, alignment, and repair of industrial machinery and equipment. This role requires strong mechanical aptitude and hands-on experience using a variety of tools and equipment to ensure machinery operates efficiently and safely. The Millwright will work independently and as part of a team to complete projects within established timelines while adhering to all safety standards and company procedures.

Pay Range
$28.00-36.00per hr
Position Responsibilities
- Install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair machinery and mechanical equipment
- Align, level, and anchor machinery using precision tools and measuring devices
- Perform pipe fitting, equipment assembly, and mechanical installations
- Dismantle and reassemble equipment for maintenance, repair, or relocation
- Perform rigging operations including attaching loads, signaling, and safely moving heavy equipment
- Select and inspect rigging equipment such as cables, pulleys, winches, and hoists
- Operate heavy equipment and machinery including forklifts and lift trucks
- Construct equipment foundations using materials such as concrete, grout, steel, and wood
- Adjust clearances, replace defective parts, and ensure optimal equipment performance
- Fabricate and repair rigging systems, supports, and mechanical components
- Maintain safe work practices in compliance with OSHA and company safety standards
- Complete required documentation and ensure work is performed to specifications
- Maintain clean and organized work areas
- Coordinate with team members to complete assigned tasks efficiently and safely
- Perform additional duties as assigned

Skills & Desired Qualifications
- Mechanically proficient with ability to use hand tools, power tools, and precision measuring instruments
- Minimum of 2 years of Millwright or related mechanical experience in construction or industrial environments
- Experience with equipment alignment, leveling, and centerline establishment
- Knowledge of rigging practices, including load calculations, signaling, and safe equipment handling
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical documents
- Familiar with shrink-fitting processes and machinery assembly/disassembly
- Experience operating equipment such as forklifts, hoists, and lift trucks
- OSHA 10 required (OSHA 30 preferred)
- NCCER Rigging (preferred)
- Valid Driver’s License
- Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively in a team environment
- Physically capable of performing job duties, including lifting up to 50 lbs
