Job Summary

The Project Expeditor provides support to Project Managers by performing the following duties. Expeditors also speed up processes within organizations. They collaborate with different teams to facilitate operations, materials movement, inventory control, record keeping, and scheduling.

Pay Range

$62K-$65K per year

•Assist in cost estimates and maintain project schedules

•Order and track construction materials to ensure timely delivery

•Maintain key project documents like contracts, RFIs, and change orders

•Assist in client communications for updates and requirements

•Manage closeout documents and ensure completion of contractual obligations

•Assisting with the billing process, tracking project schedules, and ensuring everything is financially sound

•You’ll handle permit applications, coordinate with government agencies, and ensure our projects are always in compliance with the law

•Supporting construction administration tasks, from tracking shop drawing submittals to managing project clearances

•Working hand-in-hand with various teams, from Project Superintendents to Subcontractors, to keep the project in harmony

•You’ll be responsible for drafting and tracking change orders, ensuring transparency and smooth negotiations

•Assist with project close-out documents and coordinating warranty work as needed

•You’ll also tackle administrative tasks and assist with other duties to keep our projects soaring high

High School Diploma or general education degree and/or minimum 5 years related experience.

Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, procedures manuals, plans, shop drawings, samples, submittals and contracts. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of the organization. Ability to write professionally conveying instructions or directions.

Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.

Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.

•Has the responsibility and authority to accomplish the specific duties previously described. The Project Expeditor may not, without the express permission of the President/Chief Operating Officer, divulge any information of a confidential nature to the company or of any employee of the company, or sign any contracts or incur any obligations on behalf of the company.

Computer literate including excel, outlook, word, and online construction software like Procore, and utilize all software proficiently.
