Pay Range
$30-$45 per hour
Responsibilities
- Conduct daily jobsite safety inspections to identify hazards and ensure compliance with OSHA, company, and client safety standards.
- Promote a proactive safety culture by coaching, mentoring, and supporting field employees and subcontractors.
- Lead new hire orientations, site-specific safety training, toolbox talks, and weekly safety meetings.
- Ensure compliance with OSHA regulations, local, state, and federal safety requirements.
- Investigate accidents, incidents, near misses, and property damage events, documenting findings and recommending corrective actions.
- Perform Job Hazard Analyses (JHAs), Activity Hazard Analyses (AHAs), and risk assessments before work begins.
- Verify employees are using proper personal protective equipment (PPE) and following safe work practices.
- Conduct routine audits of fall protection, scaffolding, excavations, confined spaces, lockout/tagout, electrical safety, and other high-risk activities.
- Maintain accurate safety documentation, including inspection reports, training records, incident reports, and corrective action logs.
- Partner with project managers, superintendents, foremen, and clients to ensure project safety goals are achieved.
- Stop unsafe work when necessary and implement immediate corrective actions to eliminate hazards.
- Assist with OSHA inspections, client audits, and regulatory compliance activities.
- Track and report safety metrics, observations, and trends to management.
- Ensure emergency response procedures are understood and emergency equipment is readily available.
- Stay current on OSHA regulations, industry best practices, and emerging safety standards.
- Travel between multiple construction jobsites as required.
