Pay Range

Key Responsibilities:
- Measure, cut, fit, and install sheetrock/drywall panels on metal and wood framing for walls and ceilings.
- Apply drywall tape, joint compound (mud), and corner beads using hand and power tools.
- Embed tape and float seams to level surfaces, sanding between coats to achieve a smooth, paint-ready finish (Level 4/Level 5 finishing as required).
- Patch, repair, and texture damaged sheetrock or existing surfaces to match seamlessly.
- Install moisture-resistant drywall (greenboard/cement board) in specified wet areas.
- Inspect framing and electrical/plumbing cutouts prior to drywall installation to ensure proper fit and alignment.
- Maintain a safe and clean work environment, adhering to OSHA standards and site safety protocols.
Qualifications & Requirements:
- Experience: Minimum 3–5 years of proven experience as a Sheetrock Mechanic, Drywall Hanger, or Taper/Finisher in commercial or residential settings.
- Tools: Must possess own hand tools (drywall knives, hawk, trowels, mud pan, utility knife, drywall saw, cordless screw gun, measuring tape, etc.).
- Physical Stamina: Ability to lift, carry, and maneuver heavy drywall sheets (up to 50–75 lbs) repeatedly; comfortable working on ladders, scaffolding, or stilts.
- Work Ethic: High attention to detail, reliability, punctual attendance, and ability to work independently or with a crew.
- Transportation: Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation to job sites.
