Job Summary
Quality Labor Management is seeking a motivated and dependable Intermediate Bituminous Mix Laboratory Technician to support an important Florida state agency in Gainesville, Florida. This is an on-site position requiring in-person attendance in the Bituminous Mix Laboratory. Remote and hybrid work options are not available. We are looking for someone who is eager to learn, willing to grow, and ready to build a long-term career path.

Pay Range
$17 per hour
General Responsibilities
- Sample and prepare aggregates and other materials for asphalt testing.
- Batch and mix asphalt samples.
- Perform ignition oven and gradation testing on samples.
- Perform volumetric testing on asphalt mixtures (bulk specific gravity and maximum specific gravity).
- Perform fine aggregate specific gravity test.
- Perform fine aggregate angularity test.
- Enter test information into the appropriate database.
- Maintain and calibrate testing equipment.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
Qualifications and Education Requirements
- High school diploma, or equivalent.
- Ability to follow detailed testing procedures
- Ability to maintain accurate data records
- Ability to manage multiple work assignments simultaneously
- Ability to operate a personal computer and use Microsoft Excel
- Ability to communicate engineering information effectively
- Ability to lift 50 lbs

- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with others
- Ability to maintain a safe working environment
- Skill in using engineering tools, instruments, and equipment
Work Environment
