QLM has partnered with a well-established electrical contractor in the Orlando area that is seeking a Safety Coordinator to support field operations and promote a strong culture of safety. This role will be responsible for conducting jobsite inspections, assisting with safety training and documentation, leading toolbox talks, and working closely with field crews to ensure safe work practices. Pay Range
$70k-$80k per year
Our client is a well-established electrical contractor serving Central Florida with projects in airfield electrical systems, utility construction, telecom infrastructure, civil construction, and commercial electrical work. They are seeking a Safety Coordinator / Field Safety Representative to support field operations and help strengthen the company’s safety culture.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced electrician, foreman, superintendent, or construction professional who has a strong safety mindset and is interested in transitioning into a dedicated safety role.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct jobsite safety inspections and audits
- Promote safe work practices and ensure compliance with company safety policies
- Assist with Job Hazard Analyses (JHAs), site-specific safety plans, and safety documentation
- Lead toolbox talks and safety meetings
- Investigate incidents and near misses and assist with corrective actions
- Work closely with field leadership to identify and mitigate safety risks
- Travel between project sites throughout the Orlando and Central Florida area
Qualifications:
- OSHA 30 certification required
- Background in electrical construction, utilities, telecom, civil construction, or related trades
- Previous experience as an Electrician, Foreman, Superintendent, Crew Leader, or similar field leadership role is highly preferred
- Strong communication and leadership skills
- Valid driver’s license and clean driving record
- Passion for safety and willingness to grow into a larger safety leadership role
