Job Title: Drywall Foreman
Location: Charlotte NC

Position Overview:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Drywall Foreman to lead and manage commercial construction drywall projects here in Charlotte NC for a general contractor that has a presence nation wide. As a working foreman, you will supervise and coordinate a team of drywall employees, subcontractors, and vendors to ensure that projects are completed on time, within budget, and according to the highest standards of quality and safety.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and supervise drywall crews in completing drywall and metal framing work.
- Accurately transfer layout information from construction drawings to floors and ceilings.
- Oversee cold-formed framing, drywall installation, insulation, rough carpentry, and related tasks.
- Review project plans and collaborate with the team to develop work schedules and project sequencing.
- Manage quality control, logistics, workforce utilization, and the performance of subcontractors.
- Foster a safety-first culture and ensure compliance with all Turner Construction safety policies.
- Work closely with the Superintendent to resolve issues related to labor, equipment, and schedule.
- Maintain positive relationships with clients, subcontractors, and the project team.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 7 years of experience in drywall installation on construction projects.
- At least 1 year of foreman or supervisory experience in drywall or related fields.
- Active OSHA 30-hour certification or willingness to obtain.
- Strong leadership, planning, and communication skills.
- Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, contracts, and specifications.
- Basic computer skills (smartphone/iPad) to use company and project applications.
- Proficient in Environmental Health Safety (EH&S) processes and regulations.
- Valid driver’s license and ability to travel as needed.
Physical Requirements:
- Must be able to stand, walk, lift, carry up to 50 lbs, and work at heights.
- Ability to navigate construction sites and work in confined spaces.
- Must have vision and hearing abilities to perform essential job functions.
