Job Title: Journeyman Pipe Fitter
Location: Reidsville, NC
Project Duration: Full Time for the right candidate
Start Date: Mid-August
Work Hours: Monday to Thursday, 7:00 AM – 5:30 PM (10-hour shifts)
Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled Journeyman Pipe Fitter to join our team for a plant project in Reidsville, NC. The successful candidate will have extensive experience in industrial pipe fitting, with the ability to perform a variety of tasks related to the installation, maintenance, and repair of piping systems. This is a 6-month project with work scheduled Monday through Thursday, 10-hour shifts, starting ASAP
Key Responsibilities:
- Pipe Fitting:
- Install, assemble, and maintain piping systems in an industrial setting, ensuring all work meets industry standards and project specifications.
- Perform tasks such as cutting, threading, bending, and welding pipes made from various materials, including steel, copper, and plastic.
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and specifications to ensure accurate installation and alignment of piping systems.
- Maintenance & Repair:
- Diagnose issues with existing piping systems and perform necessary repairs or replacements.
- Ensure that all piping systems are functioning correctly, conducting tests and inspections as required.
- Assist in the maintenance of tools and equipment, ensuring they are in good working condition.
- Safety & Compliance:
- Adhere to all company safety policies and OSHA regulations while on the job site.
- Participate in safety meetings and toolbox talks, contributing to a safe and productive work environment.
- Identify potential hazards and report them to the foreman or safety manager.
- Collaboration:
- Work closely with other trades and team members to ensure seamless project progression.
- Communicate effectively with supervisors and coworkers to ensure that all tasks are completed efficiently and to a high standard.
- Assist in coordinating materials and tools needed for the job, ensuring all resources are available when required.
Qualifications:
- Journeyman-level experience in pipe fitting, with a minimum of 4-5 years of hands-on experience in an industrial setting.
- Strong knowledge of pipe fitting techniques, materials, and safety protocols.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and piping diagrams.
- Proficiency in using various tools and equipment related to pipe fitting.
- Commitment to safety and quality standards.
- High school diploma or equivalent; relevant trade certifications are a plus.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to work in various environmental conditions, including heights, confined spaces, and varying weather conditions.
- Must be able to lift, carry, and maneuver heavy materials and equipment as required.
- Ability to stand, walk, and work on your feet for extended periods.
Compensation:
Competitive pay based on experience, with potential for overtime. Additional benefits may be offered depending on the applicant’s experience and the company’s policies.
