Job Description:
Are you a meticulous professional with a passion for masonry construction? My client is seeking an experienced Commercial Masonry Project Estimator to join their dynamic team. If you excel at preparing accurate and competitive project estimates, this opportunity is for you!
Key Responsibilities:
- Analyze and Estimate: Examine project plans, specifications, and documentation to create comprehensive cost estimates.
- Review and Interpret: Understand architectural and structural drawings and specifications.
- Perform Take-Offs: Develop detailed material and labor cost estimates.
- Solicit Quotes: Gather and evaluate quotes from subcontractors and suppliers.
- Prepare Proposals: Submit bid proposals with detailed scopes of work and pricing.
- Collaborate: Work closely with project managers, clients, and stakeholders to ensure estimates meet project requirements and budgets.
- Assist in Budgeting: Help prepare project budgets and schedules.
- Monitor and Adjust: Update estimates as project conditions change.
- Participate in Meetings: Attend pre-bid meetings and site visits to assess project scope and conditions.
- Stay Informed: Keep up-to-date with industry trends, materials, and pricing.
- Innovate: Collaborate with the team to develop value engineering solutions.
Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field (preferred).
- Experience: 3-5 years of estimating experience, preferably in commercial masonry.
- Skills: Strong understanding of masonry construction methods, materials, and industry standards. Proficiency in estimating software and Microsoft Office Suite. Excellent mathematical, analytical, and communication skills. Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications. Strong organizational and time management skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
