Pay Range
$21 -$23 per hour
Key Responsibilities:
- Component Assembly: Perform detailed assembly tasks, including bolting, drilling, mounting, and gluing components according to engineering drawings, blueprints, or detailed instructions.
- Tool Usage: Safely and effectively use a variety of hand tools (e.g., wrenches, screwdrivers, hand drills) and light power tools to construct and secure assemblies.
- Ladder Work: Climb and work from ladders and elevated platforms as required to access parts of assemblies.
- Quality Assurance: Inspect completed assemblies to ensure proper alignment, secure fastening, and adherence to quality standards. Identify and report any defects or inconsistencies to the supervisor.
- Process Improvement: Suggest improvements to assembly processes and workflow to enhance efficiency, product quality, and workplace safety.
- Documentation: Accurately complete assembly logs, quality checklists, and other required documentation.
- Safety & Compliance: Follow all company safety protocols, wear required personal protective equipment (PPE), and ensure compliance with OSHA and company guidelines.
- Housekeeping: Maintain a clean, organized work area and assist with inventory management and material handling as needed.
Requirements:
- Minimum of three years of relevant experience in an assembly role.
- Trade skills preferred but not mandatory.
- Mechanical knowledge is a bonus.
- Basic understanding of diesel and LPG generators is advantageous but not essential.
- High proficiency with tape measures and basic hand tools.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work.
- Ability to work in a physically demanding environment, including lifting and standing for long periods.
