Pay Range
$34-$36 per hour
- Use welding torches and other equipment to apply heat to metal
- Melt and fuse metal pieces to form a permanent bond
- Cut, join, and shape plates or sections of metal together
- Fill seams, indentations, and holes in metal products
- Calculate dimensions of parts to be welded
- Read and comprehend construction drawings and specifications
- Lay out and install piping, equipment, and other mechanical systems
High school diploma or equivalent
Additional certifications in welding techniques and safety standards
Precision and attention to detail.
