$25-$33 per hour
REQUIREMENTS
- High School education or equivalent as deemed sufficient by management.
- At least five years CNC Lathe experience or as deemed sufficient by management.
- Have own tools and toolbox (mics, indicators, calipers, etc)
- Pre-employment drug screen
- PUMA (21IT control) and Mori Seiki (6TB Control) experience preferred.
- Programming experience preferred.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Preview routers, drawings, and work instructions to obtain a thorough understanding of the work to be performed.
- Setup CNC machines, carefully following work instructions.
- Prove out setup by executing programs in a safe mode (dry-run), validate tool paths and tool settings to anticipate collisions or crashes.
- Make necessary measurements to confirm parts conform to requirements.
- Focus on the cutting process: monitoring tool movements, listening to machine and cutting sounds, and observing part security.
- Refresh cutting tools as necessary to insure proper operation and prevent damage to parts.
- Utilize cycle time to make additional quality checks and remove burrs created during the operation.
- Report all deviations to the Team Leader as they occur.
- Document and save all program changes and notations.
- Report machine malfunctions and repair needs to the Team Leader
- Keep work area clean and personal toolbox orderly.
- Keep machine clean and perform daily maintenance duties.
