Job Summary
We’re seeking a motivated Civil Field Technician to support construction projects by translating design data into actionable field layouts. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working outdoors, has a strong attention to detail, and is eager to grow within the civil and virtual design/construction (VDC) disciplines.

Pay Range
$26-$30 per hour
Key Responsibilities:
- Operate GPS-based equipment including rovers, data collectors, base stations, and machine control systems.
- Perform layout, quality control, and data collection to support project execution.
- Collaborate with field engineers and supervisors to ensure accurate data transfer from plans and models to the field.
- Interpret construction plans and identify project constraints and requirements.
- Conduct layout reviews for ADA compliance.
- Assist with pipe camera operations and field verification with pipe crews.
- Support general site activities as needed by the project team.
- Maintain a safe work environment and follow all safety protocols.
Qualifications:
- Familiarity with utility and grading layout, as-builts, and topographic data conversion.
- Understanding of ADA standards.
- Willingness to learn tools like A360 and other VDC platforms.
- Ability to work closely with both civil and VDC teams.
- Must meet apprentice-level prerequisites and be eligible for advancement.
Working Conditions:
- Primarily outdoor work in varying weather conditions.
- Exposure to loud environments and multi-activity worksites.
- Frequent travel may be required.
- Typical work week ranges from 40 to 55 hours.
Certifications:
- OSHA 10-Hour Certification (training provided).
- Valid driver’s license preferred.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to lift and carry up to 90 pounds.
- Frequent bending, kneeling, reaching, and standing for extended periods.
- Use of personal protective equipment (PPE) at all times on site.
