Job Summary
Job Summary: We are seeking a skilled and reliable Asphalt Paver / Equipment Operator to join our construction and paving crew. The ideal candidate will be responsible for operating heavy equipment, sealing pavement cracks, and assisting in the paving and maintenance of parking lots, driveways, and other asphalt surfaces. This role requires a strong understanding of safety protocols, attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively in a team environment.

Pay Range
$20-$33 per hour
Key Responsibilities:
- Operate asphalt paver equipment to lay, spread, and level asphalt materials.
- Seal cracks in asphalt surfaces using appropriate tools and materials.
- Safely operate heavy equipment including rollers, skid steers, and other machinery as needed.
- Perform routine maintenance checks on equipment to ensure proper operation.
- Assist with site preparation, cleanup, and other tasks as assigned by the supervisor.
- Follow safety guidelines and wear proper personal protective equipment (PPE) at all times.
- Communicate effectively with crew members and supervisors to ensure efficient workflow.
- Identify and report potential hazards or maintenance needs on equipment or job site.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in asphalt paving or related construction work preferred.
- Proficiency in operating rollers, skid steers, and other heavy equipment.
- Ability to work in outdoor environments and perform physically demanding tasks.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
- Valid driver’s license; CDL a plus.
- Ability to follow verbal and written instructions.
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, as needed.

- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Comfortable working in varying weather conditions.
- Ability to stand, bend, and kneel for extended periods.
