Job Summary
Job Summary The Fire & Alarm Sales Account Manager is responsible for developing and maintaining strong relationships with end-users while driving sales growth within the Fire & Alarm market. This role focuses on identifying, qualifying, and securing Fire and Alarm system service and installation opportunities. The ideal candidate is a highly motivated sales professional with 7–10 years of proven, hands-on Fire & Alarm industry sales experience, capable of managing customer accounts, generating new business, and coordinating project delivery with internal teams.

Pay Range
$65,000 per year
Key Responsibilities
- Build and maintain strong relationships with new and existing end-users.
- Conduct regular customer visits, communication, and account follow-up.
- Promote service and monitoring contracts to both new and existing customers.
- Identify, qualify, and close Fire and Alarm system sales opportunities directly with end-users.
- Prepare and present proposals for customer approval.
- Track sales activity, proposals, and pipeline progress in CRM software.
- Coordinate approved work with service administration for scheduling.
- Work with product and parts suppliers to obtain pricing and quotes.
- Assist customers in capital planning, technology upgrades, and equipment refresh strategies.
- Collaborate with operations and service teams to ensure smooth delivery and customer satisfaction.
- Support accounting to ensure accurate billing and timely payment.
- Identify additional sales opportunities through ongoing service activity.
- Develop, track, and manage sales goals and performance metrics.
Skills and Requirements
- 7–10 years of direct Fire & Alarm sales experience is required.
- Associate degree OR equivalent combination of education and work experience.
- Proven success in cold calling, account management, and customer relationship development.
- Strong communication, organization, and follow-through skills.
- Detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
- Self-driven and able to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Ability to coordinate across internal departments and external business partners.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
- Must pass a background check and drug screening.
- Valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a current NC Fire License.
- Physical Requirements: Sitting, walking short distances, lifting up to 25 lbs occasionally, performing desk and computer work, and clear communication in person and by phone.
