Job Summary
Location: Central Florida Employment Type: Full‑Time Compensation: Up to $80,000 annually Benefits: Comprehensive benefits package (Medical, Dental, Vision, 401(k), PTO, and more) We are seeking an experienced Commercial Construction Estimator to support a growing pipeline of commercial building projects. This full‑time position is responsible for preparing accurate, detailed cost estimates for ground‑up builds, renovations, interior build‑outs, and various commercial scopes. The ideal candidate has strong analytical skills, a deep understanding of construction assemblies and materials, and proven experience producing competitive bids in fast‑paced environments. This role plays a key part in supporting project acquisition, budgeting, planning, and successful award of work.

Key Responsibilities
- Prepare detailed cost estimates for commercial construction projects, including labor, materials, equipment, and subcontractor scopes.
- Review and analyze plans, specifications, addenda, and project documents to determine full scope of work.
- Perform quantity take‑offs and develop accurate material and labor breakdowns.
- Solicit, review, and evaluate subcontractor and supplier quotes to align with project requirements.
- Assist in developing budgets, bid proposals, alternates, and value‑engineering options.
- Participate in pre‑bid meetings, site visits, and scope reviews as needed.
- Work closely with project managers, field teams, and leadership to align estimates with project strategy.
- Maintain organized estimating files, historical cost data, and documentation.
- Ensure all estimates account for current market pricing, project constraints, and schedule impacts.
- Support forecasting, preconstruction planning, and hand‑off to operations upon project award.
Qualifications
- 3+ years of commercial construction estimating experience.
- Strong knowledge of commercial building systems, construction materials, and industry pricing.
- Ability to read and interpret architectural and engineering drawings.
- Proficient in estimating software and take‑off tools (experience with any major platform is acceptable).
- Strong mathematical, analytical, and organizational skills.
- Excellent communication and ability to collaborate with internal teams and external vendors.
- Ability to manage multiple bids, deadlines, and scope reviews simultaneously.
- High attention to detail and accuracy in cost analysis.
- Valid driver’s license for occasional site visits.
