MISSION CRITICAL AREA SUPERINTENDENT – EL PASO, TX Confidential Search | Top-25 ENR General Contractor | 2+ Year Project | Full-Time On-Site COMPENSATION Base Salary: $92,910 – $102,690 Total Estimated Annual Compensation: $185,549 – $198,752 ABOUT THE COMPANY We are conducting a confidential search on behalf of a nationally recognized, employee-owned general contractor ranked in the top 25 of the ENR 400. This firm operates a dedicated Mission Critical practice building large-scale data center and critical facility projects for leading enterprises across the country. Their integrated approach prioritizes redundancy, scalability, energy efficiency, and seamless technology integration — delivered by specialized, experienced field teams. THE ROLE We are seeking a Mission Critical Area Superintendent for a long-term, 2+ year data center construction project in El Paso, Texas. This is a significant, high-profile build requiring a hands-on field leader who can own a defined area of the project — driving safety, schedule, quality, and personnel development from the ground up through project turnover. The Area Superintendent works under the direction of the Project Superintendent and leads a team of field engineers and craft personnel within their assigned area. You are the direct supervisor on the ground — setting the pace, enforcing standards, and coordinating daily with trade partners to keep your area moving.

$150k-$195k per year
PROJECT DETAILS
- Location: El Paso, Texas (on-site, full-time)
- Project Type: Large-Scale Data Center / Mission Critical Facility
- Duration: 2+ Years
- Work Structure: Full-time on-site — this is not a hybrid or remote role
WHAT YOU’LL DO
- Supervise, coordinate, and mentor company field personnel within your assigned project area
- Coordinate field construction activities through detailed planning and collaborative trade partner relationships; participate in weekly schedule and management meetings
- Promote and enforce the site-specific safety plan — create AHAs/STAs with foremen for all self-performed work and review trade partner AHAs
- Maintain the four-week look-ahead schedule for your area and ensure work stays on track
- Keep accurate cost and production records for your scope of work
- Coordinate material handling and site utilization within your area; ensure materials received are properly inspected, documented, and coded
- Own quality control within your area — hold yourself, your team, and trade partners to the highest standards
- Coordinate the punch list process to ensure clean owner acceptance at project turnover
- Participate in BIM/VDC coordination meetings and assist in driving issue resolution to keep submittals on schedule
- Build and maintain strong working relationships with owners, architects, engineers, and trade partners
WHAT YOU BRING
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Structural Engineering, Architecture, or Construction Management
- 5–6+ years of experience on large commercial construction projects
- Mission critical, data center, or large industrial project experience strongly preferred
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel), Prolog, Primavera P6, and AutoDesk Suite
- Experienced in construction layout, blueprint reading, and shop drawing interpretation
- Strong communication and leadership skills — you set the tone for your crew
- Ability to commit to a 2+ year on-site assignment in El Paso, TX
- OSHA 10 preferred; CPR & First Aid certification a plus
- Valid driver’s license required
COMPENSATION & BENEFITS
- Base: $92,910 – $102,690
- Total Estimated Annual Comp: $185,549 – $198,752 (inclusive of bonus, vehicle allowance, and benefits)
