Job Summary
Quality Labor Management is seeking a Intermediate Structural Materials Specialist to support a state transportation materials program based in Gainesville, Florida. This is a full-time, in-office position in a professional office setting. Remote work and relocation assistance is not available. The ideal candidate will have prior laboratory experience, strong attention to detail, and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision. Responsibilities include sample preparation and testing, data analysis, technical reporting, equipment calibration and maintenance, and customer communication. This position requires proficiency with computer applications and the ability to lift up to 50 pounds.

Pay Range
$17 per hour
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Prepare, receive, log, and process structural material samples for laboratory testing.
- Perform laboratory testing procedures in accordance with established standards and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
- Enter sample and test data into the FDOT Materials Acceptance and Certification System and other applicable reporting databases.
- Analyze test results and prepare detailed technical reports, correspondence, and documentation.
- Review and provide feedback on laboratory procedures, testing methods, and SOPs.
- Calibrate, maintain, and troubleshoot laboratory instruments and equipment.
- Assist with the approval and evaluation of products and structural materials through testing, analysis, and reporting.
- Maintain accurate records of laboratory activities and testing results.
- Communicate professionally and effectively with customers regarding testing procedures, results, and project requirements.
- Follow all laboratory safety procedures and quality assurance standards.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Skills Desired
