Job Summary
We are seeking a certified and experienced 6G Welder to join our team. The ideal candidate will have proven expertise in performing welds in the 6G position, which is considered one of the most challenging welding positions due to its fixed angle and complexity. This role requires a high level of precision, adherence to safety standards, and the ability to work on a variety of projects including pipe welding in industrial, construction, or manufacturing settings.

Pay Range
$34 per hour
- Perform high-quality welds in the 6G position on pipes and related components according to project specifications and industry codes
- Interpret welding blueprints, drawings, and specifications to ensure accurate welds
- Prepare welding equipment and materials, including proper setup and calibration
- Inspect welds visually and through non-destructive testing methods to ensure compliance with quality standards
- Follow all safety protocols to maintain a safe work environment
- Maintain welding equipment and perform routine maintenance as required
- Collaborate with team members, supervisors, and inspectors to complete projects on time
- Certification as a 6G Welder (e.g., AWS Certified Welder or equivalent)
- Extensive experience welding in the 6G position, preferably on pipes
- Strong understanding of welding techniques, metallurgy, and welding codes (e.g., ASME, AWS)
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints
- Detail-oriented with a commitment to producing defect-free welds
- Knowledge of safety standards and procedures in welding environments
- Physical ability to work in confined spaces and various positions as required
