Job Summary
Job Brief: An Apprentice Plumber works under the supervision of a licensed plumber to learn the skills and responsibilities of the plumbing trade. This role involves hands-on experience with tools, equipment, and safety protocols necessary to install and maintain plumbing systems. Responsibilities: Assisting: Help with the installation, repair, and maintenance of pipes and fixtures. Learning: Read blueprints, specifications, and diagrams to understand plumbing layouts. Troubleshooting: Assist in diagnosing plumbing issues and proposing solutions. Safety: Learn and apply safety procedures and protocols. Inspection: Help inspect plumbing systems to identify issues. Tool Use: Learn to use and maintain plumbing tools and equipment. Cost Estimation: Assist in preparing cost estimates for plumbing services. Compliance: Gain knowledge about local plumbing codes and regulations. Cleanup: Assist with the cleanup of the worksite after job completion. Pay Rate: $20 – $27 Skills and Qualifications: Education: High school diploma or equivalent. Technical Skills: Basic knowledge of plumbing systems and techniques. Eagerness to Learn: Strong commitment to learning and improving skills. Physical Stamina: Ability to perform physically demanding tasks. Communication: Good communication skills to interact with team members and clients. Work Environment: Apprentice Plumbers work in various environments, including residential homes, commercial buildings, and industrial sites. They may work indoors or outdoors, depending on the project requirements
