This position is direct hire, and the work is in the Jacksonville, Orlando, and Palm Coast areas. The position is full-time, and salary is negotiable depending on experience. The duties include managing the administrative activities of a project to ensure the fulfillment of contractual requirements while meeting the company’s safety, budget, and schedule goals. This role will provide timely feedback or corrective action to ensure that each team member contributes to the success of the project and company. Water treatment plant experience is required. Pay Range
$40K per year
o Three (3) years of experience successfully supervising employees and subcontractors on a construction site.
o Good communication and teamwork abilities are a must.
o The ability to operate a computer and essential computer accessories are a must.
o The ability to go to jobsites is essential.
- Sign and submit packing slips for deliveries.
- Review unpaid subcontractor and vendor invoices to ensure payment according to terms.
- Cost-code subcontractor and vendor invoices.
- Ensure all trades and subcontractors are using the most recently issued set of design drawings and specifications.
- Coordinate equipment use with subcontractors and crews.
- Receive construction support equipment, checking condition and quantity.
- Ensure that on-site construction equipment is maintained.
- Review equipment cost reports and take corrective action as needed.
- Review weekly equipment timesheets before entry.
o Assign costs to the correct job cost structures.
o Track units completed.
o Receive materials, checking the condition and quantity.
o Receive and store delivered materials and equipment.
o Read and review the project’s owner’s contract.
o Review design drawings and specifications to identify potential issues.
o Assess and report field conditions that may lead to a change in the scope of any of the project’s owner’s contract.
o Document any units needed to process a T&M ticket, unit price work, or potential contract change.
o Submit phased daily labor timesheets for crews.
o Ensure compliance with discrimination, harassment, Equal Employment Opportunity policies.
o Assign tasks, areas of responsibility, and performance requirements to direct reports.
o Establish project procedures for communication, decision-making, and issue-resolution.
o Promote communication and teamwork between craft personnel.
o Review labor cost reports and take corrective action as required.
o Perform scope and price reviews to ensure complete coverage of the work.
o Ensure work complies with building codes, permits, local ordinances, and other regulatory requirements.
o Inspect work for compliance with the plans and specifications, RFIs, approved submittals, and all other additional revisions.
o Assess and report actual progress of scheduled activities.
o Create and manage a short-term lookahead schedule.
o Execute a site logistics plan, including working hours, protection of existing facilities, temporary facilities, material delivery, material storage, vehicle access, clean-up and maintenance, stormwater pollution prevention, dust and noise control, and parking.
o Maintain neat, orderly work areas that are secure from unlawful intrusions and that protect the public.
o Facilitate project access including sign-in logs and issuance of visitor’s hard hats.
o Coordinate construction activities, shutdowns, testing, and inspections with the architect or engineer.
o Prioritize and schedule Field Engineering activities.
o Plan and conduct preconstruction meetings with subcontractors.
o Coordinate subcontractors’ work on site.
o Provide subcontractors access to their work areas.
o Prepare agenda, take notes, and disseminate subcontractor coordination meeting minutes as needed.
