QLM is seeking a Commercial HVAC Senior Service Technician to lead and help build our Commercial and Industrial Service Division in San Antonio. This role combines advanced hands-on service work with leadership responsibilities, including training technicians, supporting operations, and establishing service processes. The ideal candidate is a highly experienced technician ready to step into a leadership role while remaining active in the field.

Pay Range
$80k-$90k per salary
Position Description
The Senior Service Technician will perform advanced HVAC diagnostics, repairs, and system evaluations while leading complex service calls. This role includes mentoring apprentices, assisting with onboarding and training programs, and acting as the primary point of contact for the service team. Responsibilities also include communicating with customers, providing repair recommendations, supporting estimates and documentation, reviewing work orders and billing, and coordinating with operations to ensure efficient service delivery and high-quality standards.

Skills & Desired Qualifications
Candidates should have 7+ years of commercial and/or industrial HVAC experience with strong troubleshooting skills in chillers, package units, split systems, boilers, pumps, hydronic systems, and electrical controls. Must be able to work independently, lead in the field, and train or mentor junior technicians. Familiarity with CRM platforms such as BuildOps, ServiceTitan, or FieldEdge is preferred, along with proficiency in Microsoft Office and Google Suite. EPA Universal Certification, a valid driver’s license, clean driving record, and Texas Technician Registration are required.
