We pride ourselves on our commitment to quality, safety, and career development. Quality Labor Management is currently seeking motivated and dependable Construction Pipelayers to join our team. The Commercial Pipe Layer is responsible for installing underground utility piping systems on commercial construction projects, including storm, sanitary sewer, and water lines. This role works closely with the site superintendent and equipment operators to ensure pipe is installed accurately to grade, aligned properly, and in compliance with project plans and safety standards.

Pay Range
$24-$28 per hour
Qualifications
- 2+ years of industrial or heavy commercial underground utility experience
- Experience working on industrial sites (plants, refineries, distribution centers, etc.) preferred
- Ability to read and understand engineered site and utility drawings
- Knowledge of trench safety, OSHA standards, and industrial jobsite safety requirements
- Experience working around heavy equipment and in high-traffic construction zones
- Ability to lift 50+ lbs and work outdoors in varying conditions
- OSHA 10 or 30 preferred
Key Responsibilities
- Install underground process piping, fire water lines, storm, sanitary, and industrial water systems
- Lay ductile iron, PVC, HDPE, steel, and reinforced concrete pipe
- Read and interpret engineered drawings, isometrics, and site utility plans
- Set pipe to exact grade using lasers, transits, and grade rods
- Install vaults, manholes, valve boxes, and related industrial structures
- Work safely in deep trenches with proper shoring and trench protection systems
- Coordinate with equipment operators, pipefitters, and site supervisors
- Assist with excavation, bedding, backfill, and compaction
- Follow site-specific safety protocols (confined space, lockout/tagout awareness)
- Maintain tools, materials, and a clean, organized work area
