Job Summary
The Concrete Laborer will assist ironworkers/rodbusters in installing reinforced steel, as well as support masons and carpenters throughout the commercial jobsite. This role involves a variety of tasks to ensure the smooth and efficient completion of construction projects.

Pay Range
$16.50-$19 per hour
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist Ironworkers/Rodbusters:
- Help position and secure steel bars, rods, cables, or mesh in concrete forms using fasteners, rod-bending machines, blowtorches, or hand tools.
- Tie rebar together with wire to ensure it is secure and properly placed.
- Read and interpret blueprints or instructions to ensure correct placement of reinforcing steel12.
- Support Masons:
- Mix, pour, and spread concrete.
- Assist in laying bricks, blocks, and stones.
- Prepare and clean surfaces for masonry work.
- Assist Carpenters:
- Help in constructing, installing, and repairing structures and fixtures made of wood, plywood, and wallboard.
- Measure, cut, and shape wood, plastic, and other materials.
- Assemble and fasten materials to make frameworks or props.
- General Labor:
- Load and unload materials, tools, and equipment.
- Maintain a clean and organized jobsite.
- Follow all safety protocols and wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE).
Skills and Qualifications:
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and instructions.
- Basic knowledge of carpentry, masonry, and reinforcing steel work.
- Physical stamina and strength to perform heavy lifting and manual labor.
- Attention to detail and ability to follow instructions accurately.
- Good communication skills and ability to work well with a team.
- Familiarity with safety procedures and use of PPE.
Working Conditions:
- Work outdoors in various weather conditions.
- May require working at heights or in confined spaces.
- Full-time position with potential for overtime.
