Job Summary
LOW VOLTAGE ELECTRICAL HELPERS NEEDED IMMEDIATELY FOR TYNDALL AIR FORCE BASE! THIS JOB STARTS MONDAY, SO WE MUST MOVE QUICKLY. The Helpers will assists experienced electricians with the installation, maintenance, and repair of low voltage systems, like security, fire alarms, and data cabling, following safety protocols and instructions.

Pay Range
$19.00 per hour
Key Responsibilities:
- Assisting with Installations: Helping with the setup and wiring of low voltage systems, including security, fire alarms, and data cabling.
- Following Instructions: Adhering to blueprints, specifications, and instructions provided by experienced technicians.
- Basic Tasks: Performing tasks like cutting and stripping wires, threading conduit, and securing brackets.
- Tool Proficiency: Using hand and power tools safely and effectively.
- Safety Compliance: Understanding and adhering to electrical safety protocols and regulations.
- Cleaning and Organization: Keeping the work area and equipment clean and organized.
- Communication: Communicating effectively with team members and clients.
Skills Needed
- Blueprint Reading:
- Understanding electrical plans and schematics is crucial for knowing where to install wiring, outlets, and other electrical components.
- Hand and Power Tool Proficiency:
- You’ll need to be comfortable using tools like screwdrivers, pliers, drills, and other tools necessary for electrical work.
- Basic Electrical Knowledge:
- Understanding concepts like voltage, amperage, and circuits is essential for safe and effective electrical work.
- Conduit Work:
- Knowledge of installing and working with conduit (the protective casing for wires) is a common task for electrical helpers.
- Wiring Installation:
- You’ll need to be able to install and terminate wires, understanding different wire types and sizes.
- Troubleshooting:
- Being able to identify and diagnose simple electrical problems is an important skill.
- Electrical Safety:
- Understanding and adhering to electrical safety procedures and regulations is paramount.
- Knowledge of Electrical Codes:
- Familiarity with local and national electrical codes is essential for ensuring safe and compliant installations.
