Job Summary

Our client is seeking an experienced Electrical Project Manager with a proven background in ground-up hospital and healthcare facility electrical construction. This role requires a candidate who has built their career within an electrical contractor and has directly managed electrical scopes on new construction healthcare projects from preconstruction through commissioning and closeout. Candidates from general contracting backgrounds or those whose healthcare experience is limited to MEP coordination without direct electrical scope ownership will not be considered. This is a role for a true electrical construction professional who understands the technical demands, compliance requirements, and schedule pressures unique to ground-up hospital and healthcare builds.

Pay Range

$115k-$140k per year

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Manage all phases of electrical construction on ground-up hospital and healthcare projects from contract award through final commissioning and closeout
  • Develop and maintain project schedules, budgets, procurement logs, and cost reports in coordination with field leadership
  • Lead RFI, submittal, and change order processes with thorough documentation and timely resolution
  • Coordinate directly with owners, general contractors, commissioning agents, and healthcare facility management teams
  • Maintain strict ICRA and ILSM protocol compliance throughout the project lifecycle
  • Manage project financial performance including monthly billings, cost-to-complete forecasting, and margin tracking
  • Ensure all work complies with NFPA 70, NFPA 99, Joint Commission standards, and applicable healthcare construction codes
  • Coordinate critical systems installation including emergency power, essential electrical systems, nurse call, and life safety
  • Interface with inspectors, AHJs, commissioning agents, and facility operations teams through systems turnover
  • Direct and mentor APMs, project engineers, and project administrators on the project team
  • Manage long-lead equipment procurement including switchgear, transformers, generator systems, and critical healthcare gear

Qualifications & Requirements

  • 5+ years of electrical construction project management experience required
  • Minimum 3 years of direct healthcare electrical PM experience on ground-up hospital or major medical facility projects
  • Proven track record managing electrical scopes of $5M or greater on healthcare builds
  • Strong working knowledge of NFPA 70, NFPA 99, and essential electrical system design requirements
  • Familiarity with ICRA/ILSM compliance requirements for active and new construction healthcare environments
  • Proficiency in Procore, Bluebeam, and MS Project or Primavera P6
  • OSHA 30 required
  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Construction Management, or equivalent professional experience

Compensation & Benefits

  • Base salary $115,000 to $135,000 annually, commensurate with experience
  • Company vehicle provided
  • Travel reimbursement / Per Diem
