Job Summary
The Construction Electrical Superintendent is responsible for overseeing and coordinating all on‑site electrical construction activities for large‑scale commercial and industrial projects. This position ensures that all work is performed safely, on schedule, within budget, and in full compliance with specifications, electrical codes, and quality standards. This role requires a hands‑on leader with strong technical electrical expertise, excellent communication skills, and proven experience managing complex field operations and electrical scopes.

Pay Range
$45-$55 per hour
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise, schedule, and coordinate all daily on‑site electrical construction activities for large, multifaceted projects.
- Ensure all electrical work follows local, state, and federal electrical codes, OSHA regulations, company safety policies, and project specifications.
- Lead, mentor, and manage electricians, foremen, and subcontractors to ensure high‑quality workmanship and field productivity.
- Review and interpret blueprints, schematics, specifications, and project plans to validate sequencing, constructability, and scope accuracy.
- Collaborate closely with the Project Manager, General Superintendent, and other trade leaders to coordinate schedules and resolve field conflicts.
- Monitor project progress, manpower levels, material usage, and production rates to maintain efficiency and cost-control targets.
- Conduct routine jobsite safety meetings and inspections; enforce all OSHA and company safety protocols.
- Identify potential issues, delays, safety risks, or change‑order conditions early and communicate them appropriately.
- Maintain accurate project documentation, including daily reports, progress updates, inspections, and safety records.
- Communicate effectively with clients, engineers, inspectors, vendors, and internal management regarding field activities and project status.
Minimum Qualifications
- Must be at least 21 years of age
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
- Demonstrated experience supervising electrical work on large‑scale construction projects
- Ability to work in active construction environments, including exposure to weather, heights, and physical jobsite demands
Preferred Qualifications
- Journeyman or Master Electrician License
- 5+ years of electrical construction supervision experience on large commercial or industrial projects
- Proven ability to manage large crews and multiple subcontractors simultaneously
- Strong working knowledge of NEC, OSHA standards, and local AHJ requirements
- Experience with project documentation, manpower planning, and production tracking
Compensation: $45–$55 Per Hour
