Pay Range
$23-$33 per hour
We are a Veteran and family-owned business, currently hiring Journeyman and Apprentice Electricians. We hire military veterans with relevant skillsets who are looking for a post military career, as well as Experienced Electricians looking for a new opportunity, and place them in full time positions where they can excel.
Job Description:
As an Electrician, you will be responsible for the installation and repair of electrical systems in commercial buildings. You will use your electrical knowledge to complete tasks from wiring to lighting, and from switches to motors. You will be familiar with safety regulations as well as with the latest technology.
Responsibilities
- Install electrical systems and fixtures (i.e. switches, outlets, lightbulbs, etc.)
- Install new wiring and fixtures (e.g. power distribution, telephone, etc.)
- Connect wiring in electrical systems (e.g. power distribution, telephone, etc.)
- Repair damaged or obsolete wiring or electrical fixtures (replacement of switchboards, etc.)
- Troubleshoot circuits and electrical systems for reliability and compatibility
- Test electrical equipment and circuits before and during installation to ensure functionality
- Ensure that no safety precautions are in place that would prevent a person from safely completing the installation (e.g. fire safety)
- Maintain records of work (including receipts) and ensure proper storage of materials
- Proven work experience as an Electrician or similar role
- Experience in troubleshooting circuits and systems
- Familiarity with electrical safety guidelines and regulations (e.g. OSHA)
- Ability to read technical documents (e.g. schematics) is a plus but not required
- Willingness to follow policies and procedures set forth by QLM – Skilled Staffing Solutions as well as applicable state and local regulations
- Good communication skills
- Must be dependable and have reliable transportation
