Job Summary
Schedule: 60–70 hours per week Rotation: 10 days on / 4 days off (Sundays optional) Overtime: Paid OT Per Diem: $50/day when traveling outside home area Position Overview The Field Technician II is a skilled mechanical and electrical field specialist responsible for installation, service, repair, and commissioning of industrial systems. This role performs advanced brazing, welding, electrical control installation, troubleshooting, and field modifications while maintaining strict safety and quality standards. The Field Technician II often leads small field tasks and supports the development of Level I Technicians. This position requires extensive travel, long hours, and the ability to work in demanding field conditions

Pay Range
$28-$35 per hour
Key Responsibilities
- Install and commission piping, structural supports, control panels, sensors, and equipment.
- Perform TIG/MIG welding and brazing on stainless steel, copper, and aluminum.
- Install, wire, and troubleshoot electrical controls, PLCs, relays, and sensors.
- Read and apply mechanical/electrical schematics.
- Test and calibrate circuits, instruments, and safety devices.
- Identify field issues and implement approved solutions.
- Train and support junior technicians.
- Complete service reports and project documentation.
- Maintain OSHA/NFPA 70E compliance and proper tool/material management.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED; technical training preferred.
- 3–6 years in field installation, industrial maintenance, or fabrication.
- Strong brazing and TIG/MIG welding skills (certifications preferred).
- Experience with electrical control systems and PLC I/O.
- Mechanical knowledge of pumps, valves, and instrumentation.
- Ability to lead small crews and communicate effectively.
- Valid driver’s license; able to lift 75 lbs and work in tight or elevated areas.
Work Environment
- Field‑based, with regular travel to industrial and construction sites.
- Exposure to outdoor conditions, heat, cold, noise, and mechanical hazards.
- Long hours and rotating on/off schedule required.
