Job Summary
QLM seeking skilled and safety-conscious Forklift Operators to join our Cape Canaveral team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for operating forklifts to efficiently load, unload, and unload shipping vessels within the Cape Canaveral shipping terminal. This role requires a strong understanding of forklift operations and ability to operate at a port shipping terminal.

Pay Range
$18 per hour
Responsibilities
- Operate forklifts, load and unload material from shipping vessels, and have a professional manner at all times
- Safely transport material throughout the port terminal while adhering to safety protocols.
- Assist in maintaining a clean and resilient marina environment.
- Collaborate with Dockmaster to optimize boat flow and improve efficiency.
- Conduct routine inspections of forklifts and other equipment to ensure they are in good working condition.
- Report any mechanical issues or safety concerns to management promptly.
Requirements
- Experience- 1 year or more operating a forklift
- Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to troubleshoot minor equipment issues.
- Familiarity with working at the port – preferred
- Ability to perform heavy lifting tasks (up to 50 pounds) consistently throughout the shift.
- Excellent attention to detail and commitment to following safety guidelines.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced shipping port with minimal supervision.
- Forklift operator experience/certification from former employer will be verified.
