Pay Range
$20.00 per-$27.00
- Must be able to work 58 hours a week.
- Proven experience as a drywall metal stud framer in the construction industry
- Strong understanding of metal stud framing techniques and principles
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and design plans
- Ability to use hand and power tools accurately and safely
- Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills
The job of a drywall framer involves installing and fastening panels of drywall into the framework1234. They may also install metal or wood framing, insulation, acoustical ceilings, and exterior sheathing2. Other responsibilities include153:
- Using plumb bobs and levels to ensure that structures are exactly vertical or horizontal
- Constructing window and door frames as well as staircases and flooring
- Installing temporary supports for structures as required
- Preparing panels for painting by taping or finishing joints
- Smoothing out imperfections
- Reading blueprints and designs
- Measuring, cutting, fitting, and fastening panels
