Job Summary
The General Contractor Superintendent will lead on-site construction activities, coordinating with project managers, subcontractors, and suppliers. This role requires a proactive problem-solver who ensures efficient use of resources, adherence to schedules, and strict compliance with safety and quality standards. This position is essential for maintaining client satisfaction and project profitability. This position is based in College Station, TX, but requires travel throughout Texas as projects arise.

Pay Range
$35 – $48 per hour
Responsibilities:
- Manage all on-site construction activities, including scheduling, coordinating subcontractors, and monitoring work progress
- Ensure all work meets project specifications, building codes, and quality standards
- Implement and enforce strict safety protocols, conducting regular safety meetings and inspections
- Read and interpret blueprints, specifications, and project documents to plan daily activities
- Track project schedules and budgets, adjusting resources as needed to meet deadlines
- Serve as the main point of contact for field issues and promptly address client and stakeholder concerns
- Prepare and submit daily logs, reports, and documentation, ensuring accurate record-keeping
- Coordinate inspections and approvals from relevant authorities
Qualifications:
- 5+ years of experience as a Superintendent or similar role in [commercial/residential] construction
- Strong knowledge of construction practices, OSHA regulations, and building codes
- Proven track record of delivering projects on time, within budget, and to quality standards
- Proficient in construction management software (e.g., Procore, Buildertrend, PlanGrid)
- Ability to read blueprints, specifications, and interpret technical drawings accurately
- Strong organizational, communication, and leadership skills
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related field
- OSHA 30 certification or similar safety training
- Experience with specific tools and equipment relevant to the role (e.g., GPS layout equipment, laser levels)
