Job Summary
Position Summary: Assesses and performs repairs and service of revenue and non-revenue machines and attachments. A primary responsibility of this position is to provide hands-on support for new equipment preparation, technical assessment inspection, off rent repair and damage estimates and quality control inspection of machines leaving the Houston yard. This includes performing pre delivery inspections and coordinating attachment installs with service manager, quoting rental return repair costs for customer damage in a timely manner and inspect repaired equipment going out to customers. This position requires flexibility and willingness to learn many new tools and technologies as this process matures within the company

Pay Range
$24 – $30 per hour
Description of Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
- Perform detailed inspections – documentation & data entry
- Complete repairs – should have own basic tools
- Perform routine maintenance
- Make timely parts orders – documentation & data entry
- Complete repairs – should have own basic tools
- Maintain a clean and organized workstation and shop.
- Perform other duties as requested, directed, or assigned.
Qualifications and Requirements:
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- 3+ years of heavy equipment repair experience.
- Demonstrated knowledge of hydraulics, electrical, and powertrain systems.
- Ability to follow directions and use deductive reasoning to complete assigned tasks.
- Good organizational and communication skills.
- Good computer and writing skills.
- Must own appropriate tooling.
- Ability to work overtime during the week or weekends, as necessary.
- Promote safe work practices by wearing required personal protective equipment.
Preferred Additional Experience/Skills:
- Experience with CAT service information databases.
- Operation or maintenance training on CAT equipment.
- Advanced technical systems experience.
- Knowledge of Caterpillar (CAT) equipment and the pipeline industry
- Experience with new and classic CAT equipment support and troubleshooting
- Experience with CAT web-based applications is preferred
- Strong computer skills
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Requires a high school diploma or equivalent, and 3 – 5 years of related experience; associates degree in a related field is preferred.
- Familiarity with CAT equipment configurations and attachments.
Compensation / Pay Rate (Up to): $24.00 – $30.00 Per Hour
