As a Lead Electrician, you will oversee the installation, maintenance, and repair of electrical systems in residential, commercial, and industrial settings. You will supervise a team of electricians, ensuring all work is completed safely, efficiently, and in compliance with industry standards and regulations.

Position Description Rich
Qualifications of a Lead Electrician:
- Must be available to work Monday through Friday from 7 AM to 3 PM (minimum).
- Highly competitive weekly pay, based on experience and expertise.
- Must be able to pass a drug test.
- Journeyman’s or Master Electrician license required.
- Proven experience leading electrical projects and managing teams in residential, commercial, or industrial environments.
- In-depth knowledge of electrical systems, including troubleshooting, installation, and repair.
- Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
- Ability to read and interpret complex blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings.
- Exceptional problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines under pressure.
- Strong understanding of electrical safety protocols and a commitment to maintaining a safe working environment.
- Ability to work in various physical environments, including confined spaces and at heights.
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
- Must be able to lift heavy materials and perform manual labor as required.
Skills Desired
Responsibilities of a Lead Electrician:
- Supervise and lead a team of electricians (Journeyman, Apprentice, and other staff members) in the installation, maintenance, and repair of electrical systems.
- Ensure that electrical work is completed in compliance with local, state, and national electrical codes.
- Develop and implement work schedules, assigning tasks, and ensuring projects are completed on time and within budget.
- Troubleshoot and diagnose complex electrical issues, providing solutions and guidance to team members.
- Read and interpret blueprints, technical diagrams, and schematics to complete projects accurately.
- Perform high-level electrical tasks including but not limited to wiring, conduit bending, motor control, switchgear installation, and power systems.
- Maintain a high standard of safety practices, enforcing safety protocols across the job site.
- Ensure that tools, equipment, and materials are properly maintained and accounted for.
- Provide mentorship and training to junior electricians and apprentices, fostering a learning environment.
- Communicate regularly with supervisors, clients, and other trades to coordinate and report on project status.
- Conduct quality control checks on work performed by the team to ensure it meets the company’s standards.
