Metal Finisher
Position Summary:
We’re looking for detail-oriented and reliable Metal Finishers to join our team. This role focuses on grinding, sanding, polishing, and finishing metal parts and assemblies to meet high-quality standards. Work will be done on architectural and structural components in a shop and/or field setting.
Key Responsibilities:
- Grind, sand, and polish metal surfaces to smooth out welds, remove defects, and prepare parts for coating or installation.
- Use hand tools, grinders, sanders, and polishing equipment safely and effectively.
- Read and follow shop drawings, blueprints, and work orders.
- Inspect finished work to ensure it meets specifications and quality standards.
- Maintain tools, equipment, and a clean, safe work environment.
- Work closely with welders, fabricators, and installers to complete projects on schedule.
- Follow all company safety policies and OSHA guidelines.
Position Requirements:
- 4-5 years of experience in metal finishing, fabrication, or related trade preferred (will train the right candidate).
- Knowledge of grinding, sanding, polishing techniques, and finishing tools.
- Ability to read drawings and take accurate measurements.
- Strong attention to detail and pride in craftsmanship.
- Comfortable working in a shop environment and occasionally outdoors.
- Able to lift 50+ lbs and stand for extended periods.
- Must pass a drug test and be eligible to work in the U.S.
- Reliable transportation; valid driver’s license preferred.
