Job Summary
Experienced and safety-oriented Milling Operator responsible for operating asphalt milling machines to remove existing pavement in preparation for resurfacing projects. Ensures precise milling to specified depth, grade, and slope by adjusting machine settings and monitoring performance. Works closely with project supervisors, laborers, and truck drivers to maintain steady material flow and high-quality results. Maintains equipment and adheres to all safety protocols to ensure efficient and safe job site operations.

Pay Range
$28-$35 per hour
Operate milling machines to remove asphalt or concrete surfaces at specified depths and widths.
Monitor machine performance and make real-time adjustments to controls for accuracy and efficiency.
Coordinate with ground crew and truck drivers to manage milling debris and maintain workflow.
Conduct daily equipment inspections and perform minor repairs or report issues as needed.
Follow site plans, grades, and instructions from supervisors to meet project specifications.
Ensure job site safety by maintaining clear communication and situational awareness.
Proven experience operating milling equipment in road or site construction.
Knowledge of grade controls and milling machine components.
Ability to interpret grade stakes, blueprints, and work orders.
Strong mechanical aptitude and attention to detail.
Commitment to safety and teamwork in fast-paced environments.
