Job Summary
Experienced and safety-conscious Paving Operator with a strong background in operating heavy equipment used in road construction, including asphalt pavers, rollers, and related machinery. Responsible for laying, spreading, and finishing asphalt on highways, streets, parking lots, and other surfaces to specified thickness and smoothness. Works as part of a coordinated crew, following site plans and directions from supervisors to ensure projects are completed efficiently, on schedule, and in compliance with safety and quality standards.

Pay Range
$26-32 per hour
Operate asphalt paver and/or other paving equipment to spread and level hot mix asphalt.
Monitor paving operations to ensure consistent flow and proper compaction.
Perform pre- and post-operation inspections of equipment and report any maintenance needs.
Work closely with crew members, truck drivers, and foreman to ensure seamless workflow.
Follow all safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized work area.
Adjust paving machine settings based on road grades, mix characteristics, and environmental conditions.
Proven experience as a paving machine operator or in a similar construction role.
Strong understanding of paving techniques, materials, and equipment.
Ability to read and follow project plans and grades.
Good hand-eye coordination and mechanical aptitude.
