Civil Pipe Layer – Water Treatment Facility Construction
Location: Lexington, SC
Job Description:
We are currently seeking experienced Civil Pipe Layers to join our team in Lexington, SC. As a Civil Pipe Layer, you will play a crucial role in the construction of a water treatment facility, contributing to the development of essential infrastructure in Lexington.
Responsibilities:
- Install and assemble underground piping systems according to blueprints and specifications.
- Ensure proper alignment and grade for pipe installation.
- Connect pipes using appropriate fittings and materials, such as PVC, HDPE, ductal iron, or concrete.
- Test installed pipes for leaks and make necessary adjustments or repairs.
- Backfill trenches and compact soil to ensure stability and safety.
- Adhere to all safety regulations and procedures on the construction site.
- Work collaboratively with other team members and contractors to achieve project goals.
Requirements:
- Previous experience as a pipe layer in civil construction projects, preferably in water treatment or utility installations.
- Ability to interpret blueprints and follow specifications accurately.
- Proficiency in operating construction equipment such as excavators, backhoes, and pipe lasers.
- Knowledge of different pipe materials and installation techniques.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
