Quality Labor Management is seeking experienced Pipefitters to join our team. As a Pipefitter Foreman, you will be responsible for leading and managing a crew of pipefitters in the installation, maintenance, and repair of piping systems, ensuring projects are completed safely, on time, and according to specifications and local codes.

Pay Range
$28-$35 per hour DOE
The primary duties of a Pipefitter Foreman include both hands-on technical work and supervisory functions.
- Crew Management: Supervise, coordinate, and assign tasks to a team of pipefitters, welders, and apprentices.
- Safety & Compliance: Promote and enforce strict adherence to safety protocols, including OSHA regulations, conducting regular safety meetings and site inspections to identify hazards.
- Project Planning & Coordination: Plan and schedule daily work activities, coordinating closely with project managers, engineers, and other trades to ensure a smooth workflow and timely project completion.
- Technical Execution & Quality Control: Perform and oversee the cutting, threading, welding, brazing, and assembling of various piping materials (e.g., carbon steel, copper, PVC, ductile iron). Inspect all work to ensure it conforms to blueprints, specifications, and quality standards.
- Blueprint Interpretation: Read and interpret complex blueprints, technical drawings, and schematics to determine layout requirements and installation procedures.
- Material & Equipment Management: Order necessary supplies, manage material inventories, ensure proper use and maintenance of tools and heavy equipment (e.g., excavators, manlifts, rigging gear).
- Documentation & Reporting: Maintain accurate daily reports, timesheets, material usage logs, and other project documentation
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Experience: A minimum of 5-10 years of progressive pipefitting experience, with at least 2-3 years in a supervisory or foreman role.
- Technical Knowledge: Deep understanding of piping systems (hydronic, steam, gas, etc.), installation techniques, and relevant building codes and safety standards.
- Certifications: High school diploma or equivalent is required; vocational training or an apprenticeship is preferred. Certifications in welding, OSHA safety (OSHA 30 preferred), and crane rigging/signaling are often necessary.
- Soft Skills: Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving abilities are essential for managing a crew and coordinating with other stakeholders.
- Physical Stamina: The role is physically demanding, requiring the ability to lift heavy objects (up to 50-100 lbs), work at heights, in confined spaces, and in varying weather conditions
