Job Summary
Skilled and safety-focused Rolling Operator with hands-on experience operating various types of rollers (vibratory, pneumatic, and static) to compact asphalt, soil, and other materials during road construction and maintenance projects. Works closely with the paving and grading crews to ensure surfaces are properly compacted to meet quality, density, and smoothness specifications. Maintains equipment in good working order and adheres to strict safety guidelines at all times.

Pay Range
$25-$27 per hour
Operate roller equipment to compact asphalt and other materials during road and site construction.
Adjust machine settings based on material type, layer thickness, and project requirements.
Monitor compaction results and make necessary passes to achieve required density and finish.
Conduct daily equipment inspections and perform minor maintenance as needed.
Work closely with paving and grading crews to coordinate timing and rolling patterns.
Maintain clear communication with the site foreman and crew to ensure efficient and safe operations.
Proven experience operating rollers or other heavy equipment in road construction.
Strong understanding of compaction techniques and material behavior.
Ability to read site plans, grades, and follow detailed instructions.
Excellent coordination, attention to detail, and situational awareness.
