Job Summary
We are seeking experienced Safety Coordinators with strong backgrounds in heavy civil construction and site preparation to join our Civil/Infrastructure division. The ideal candidates will hold OSHA 500 or OSHA 502 certifications and have a proven track record of implementing and managing safety programs on large-scale projects.

Pay Range
$40-$50 per hour
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop, implement, and maintain site-specific safety plans in compliance with OSHA standards and company policies.
- Conduct regular safety audits, inspections, and risk assessments on active job sites.
- Lead safety meetings, toolbox talks, and training sessions for field personnel.
- Investigate incidents, near misses, and ensure corrective actions are documented and implemented.
- Collaborate with project managers and field supervisors to ensure safety compliance throughout all phases of construction.
- Maintain accurate safety records and prepare reports for management and regulatory agencies.
Qualifications:
- OSHA 500 or OSHA 502 certification (required).
- Minimum 5 years of safety experience in heavy civil construction or site preparation.
- Strong knowledge of OSHA regulations, environmental compliance, and industry best practices.
- Excellent communication and leadership skills with the ability to influence and enforce safety culture.
- Ability to travel between project sites within the assigned region (Charlotte, Greensboro, Raleigh).
Preferred Experience:
- Previous work in civil infrastructure projects such as grading, excavation, utilities, and site development.
- Familiarity with DOT and local regulatory requirements.
